Information Isn’t Wisdom

By christon | July 22, 2009

Are there any limit to the knowledge we can acquire? Today technology just run so fast so we are able to tap into incredible sources of information.

When powerful information machines connected on the highway, we will be able to stay in touch with anyone, anywhere, who wants to stay in touch with; browse trough any of thousands of libraries day or night.

Surely we are grateful for the technology that makes available such remarkable means of obtaining information. Accumulation of facts, though, doesn’t add up to insight and understanding.

All the learning of philosophers, the speculations of ethicist, and the achievements of scientists can’t give us the truth about God and His will, His grace, or the good news concerning Jesus Christ and salvation from sin.

For that knowledge we need the Bible, and we always will.

So don’t squander your time merely acquiring facts. It’s far better to study the truth of God has given us in His Word.

Just remember :

The Lord gives wisdom

Holy Bible, Book divine,
Precious treasure, thou art mine;
Mine to tell me whence I came;
Mine to teach me what I am

    It sounds like his decision. Let him invest in Disney or Hershey’s or the Green Bay Packers. Whatever he wants, and he’ll probably learn more if he invests in a well-known company rather than a hedge fund.

    When I drag & drop a contact from Outlook to a folder in Windows Explorer they are saved as a .msg format. Does this save everything associated with that contact? Can I put them back into Outlook from this format? I want to save all my contacts in Outlook but I am just going to put about 30 in my Yahoo & Windows Live email accounts.

    I have no idea, and it’s vague. Even what’s written doesn’t go into details. What exactly ARE we allowed and aren’t we allowed, as far as pictures, writing, etc? I see many people curse, so that’s basically somehow “OKAY,” but you’re not allowed to have “revealing” pics. Confusing. Anyone know? and how many times you have to do something to get your account suspended etc? How does it basically work? Thanks!

    Imagine. It is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. Who do you call?
