The Standard of the Lord

Amos 6:
“Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and trust in the mountain of Samaria who are named chief of the nations to whom the house of Israel come!”
There, in every respect, was openness and permissiveness, for that belonged to the local custom.
But what is the standard of the Lord?
What belongs to the security in the Lord in contrast to the self-confidences of the leaders, which the Lord will expose?
And if it will not happen, then He will sicken and lay on their deathbed those ones, who should be watchmen and guards, but they aren’t the kind of watchmen, in the way of God wants to use them!!
And they are dying, indeed. Because of that, the Lord cannot stop them by putting them flat on their backs, those who are disobedient, who make their own security, tinkering away with their own doctrines.
